Quality checkpoint
- Confirm the encoded text, contrast and quiet border
- Test the final printed size and the destination
The calculator, builder or download above works independently. AI Assist is an optional explanation and writing helper, never required to complete the core task.
Create a QR code people can actually scan
A QR code gives customers a quick way to open a menu, website, booking page or contact link without typing an address. Choose the destination first, then generate and download the code. QR codes are useful on signs, flyers, receipts and packaging, but only when the destination works on a mobile device.
Before you start
A QR code is only useful when somebody can scan it in its real setting. Decide whether it belongs on a phone screen, a small business card or a large sign before choosing the image dimensions. A short, stable destination URL is easier to maintain than a link to a temporary campaign page.

How to use this tool
- Enter the exact destination URL or content. For a website, include the correct domain and test it in a private browser window.
- Choose a dark code on a light background, then generate the image. High error correction helps with tougher print conditions but cannot rescue extremely poor contrast.
- Download a large PNG or SVG and scan the final printed version with at least two phones before using it in a campaign.
A real-world example
For a restaurant menu, point your QR to a fast, mobile-friendly menu page rather than a large PDF that is difficult to read on a phone.
An illustrated QR code inside a marketing image is not necessarily scannable. Use the real generated file from the tool.
Check this before you finish
- Scan the downloaded code on at least two real phones.
- Leave an uncluttered white quiet zone around the code.
- Print at a size and contrast suitable for the viewing distance.
What to avoid
Never assume that a pretty customised QR image will scan. A gradient, busy logo or dark background can destroy readability.
WHAT THIS TOOL ACTUALLY DOESDownload a portable PNG or SVG; the tool does not host redirects or track scans.
Frequently asked questions
Will my QR code expire?
A static code does not depend on this generator after download. It keeps working as long as its encoded destination remains available.
Which file should I print?
SVG scales cleanly for large print. For normal digital use, a high-resolution PNG is often more convenient.
