Silver Ivy Media Website Updates

Keep your website current without turning every change into a headache.

Website updates are the changes that keep your site accurate, useful and aligned with your business. That can mean changing text, replacing photos, adding a new service, updating prices, adding a page, improving a section, or building something new when your business grows.

Some updates are included in selected Silver Ivy Media packages. Bigger changes, new pages, new features, ecommerce additions, custom integrations and major upgrades are quoted before work starts so everyone knows what is included.

Plain-English explanation

What website updates actually are

A website update is any agreed change made to an existing website after the original build or launch. It can be as simple as changing a phone number or as involved as adding a new page, redesigning a section, updating products, improving a form or adding a new feature.

Updates are not all the same size. A small wording change is not the same as a new landing page, a booking system, a shop expansion or a full redesign. That is why we separate included package updates from larger quoted work.

Website update planning for content changes, new pages and improvements

What useful website updates should do

A good website should grow with your business, not freeze in time.

Businesses change. Services change. Prices change. Products change. Teams grow. Photos improve. Offers expire. A website that is never updated slowly becomes less useful and less trustworthy. Our update service gives clients a clear, organised way to keep the site accurate without guessing what counts as a small update or a major change.

✏️

Accurate content

Keep your wording, contact details, services, prices and calls to action current so visitors are not working from old information.

🖼️

Fresh visuals

Replace outdated photos, add new team images, improve banners or update product visuals so the site still feels alive and relevant.

🧩

New sections when needed

Add a new service block, announcement, campaign section, testimonial area, gallery section or page element when the site needs to say more.

📄

New pages or landing pages

When a change becomes bigger than a quick edit, we can quote a proper new page or landing page instead of forcing it into an existing section.

🛒

Ecommerce updates

Product changes, collection updates, policy updates and shop improvements can be handled according to the selected ecommerce package or quoted separately.

🌿

Less admin stress

Clients get a clear path for requesting updates instead of trying to figure out the website backend alone.

Service inclusions

What website updates can include

The exact inclusions depend on your selected package, quote or service order. Before update work starts, we confirm whether the request is included, whether it needs a quote, what information we need from you, and what the update may affect.

01

Minor text changes

Small wording corrections, contact detail updates or simple content changes may be included depending on the selected package.

02

Image replacements

Replacing supplied images, banners or gallery photos may be included where it fits within the package and does not require major redesign work.

03

Price, menu or service updates

Business information changes can be requested so the website stays aligned with what the client currently offers.

04

New sections or page blocks

Larger additions, new layouts or new blocks may be quoted if they go beyond the included update allowance.

05

New pages

New service pages, landing pages, policy pages or product category pages are usually quoted separately unless the package specifically includes them.

06

Form and CTA adjustments

Button wording, enquiry paths, WhatsApp links or contact form adjustments can be handled where included or quoted if more complex.

07

Ecommerce content changes

Product additions, shop changes, shipping wording and payment-related changes depend on the ecommerce package and client responsibilities.

08

Quoted upgrades

Major redesigns, integrations, booking systems, advanced features, complex copywriting or custom development are quoted before work begins.

Our process

How update requests are handled

We keep updates practical and traceable. Instead of vague verbal changes that get lost, update requests should be sent in writing with the content, images, instructions and approval details needed to complete the work properly.

01

Send the update request in writing

Tell us what must change, where it appears on the site, and what the new wording, image or instruction should be.

02

We check the scope

We confirm whether the request is included in your package, needs clarification, or should be quoted as extra work.

03

You provide the final content

The client supplies accurate wording, prices, photos, product details, legal wording or approvals needed for the update.

04

We complete the agreed update

We make the approved change carefully, keeping layout, mobile behaviour and website structure in mind.

05

You review and approve

You check that the update is correct. Further changes outside the request may be treated as a new update or quoted work.

Trust and clarity

Clear updates protect both the client and Silver Ivy Media

We want clients to feel supported, not trapped or confused. At the same time, professional update work takes time, planning and technical care. Clear update rules help prevent disputes about what was included, what was requested, what was approved and what needs a separate quote.

Included updates depend on the package

Not every package includes the same update allowance. We confirm what is included before treating a request as package-covered work.

Major changes are quoted first

New pages, major redesigns, new features, custom layouts, advanced integrations and large content requests are quoted before we begin.

Client-supplied information must be accurate

Clients are responsible for checking prices, services, product details, legal wording, spelling, contact details and business claims before approval.

Completed update work is not automatically refundable

Once approved update work has been performed, time and labour have been used. Refunds are handled according to the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law.

Ecommerce clients remain responsible for their store

Shop owners remain responsible for products, pricing, stock, delivery, refunds, warranties, product claims and customer service.

POPIA-aware file handling

We store client/project records securely and in line with POPIA. Clients should not send passwords, OTPs or banking access details through ordinary forms, email or WhatsApp.

Questions clients usually ask

Website update questions, answered plainly

What are website updates?

Website updates are agreed changes to an existing website, such as editing wording, changing photos, updating prices, adding content, improving sections, adding pages or making approved feature changes.

Are updates included in my package?

Some updates may be included depending on your selected package. Because packages are different, Silver Ivy Media will confirm whether your request is included or whether it needs a separate quote.

What counts as a minor update?

A minor update is usually a small content change, such as fixing wording, changing contact details, replacing a supplied image or updating a short section without changing the design structure.

What counts as a major update?

A major update may include new pages, large redesigns, new features, custom sections, ecommerce changes, booking systems, integrations, advanced forms or large content/copywriting requests.

Can I order updates through the website?

Yes. Where available, clients can request updates through the website or contact Silver Ivy Media directly. The request should include clear instructions, final wording, images and any approvals needed.

Do you charge for new pages?

New pages are usually quoted separately unless your selected package specifically includes them. This keeps pricing fair because a new page can involve design, layout, content structure, SEO setup and testing.

Do updates happen immediately?

Not always. Update timing depends on the package, queue, complexity, content readiness, approvals and whether the request needs a quote. We do not promise unrealistic turnaround times for work that needs proper care.

Who is responsible for the information supplied for an update?

The client is responsible for making sure supplied wording, prices, product details, images, claims and legal content are accurate, lawful and approved before the update is published.

Can updates improve my Google rankings?

Good updates can support SEO by keeping content useful, structured and relevant, but Silver Ivy Media does not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or sales because search results depend on many external factors.

What if I change my mind after an update is done?

If the update was completed according to the approved instruction, further changes may be treated as another update request or quoted work depending on your package and the size of the change.
