Silver Ivy Media Website Management
Website management that keeps your site cared for after launch.
A website should not be treated like something you launch once and forget. It needs updates, care, security awareness, content support and a clear support path so it keeps working for the business behind it.
Plain-English explanation
What website management actually means
Website management is the ongoing care of your website after it has been built. It can include hosting, platform updates, plugin checks, SSL support, security monitoring, backups, content updates, troubleshooting, small improvements and support when something needs attention.
In plain English: we help keep your website usable, updated and supported so you are not left alone with hosting notices, plugin warnings, broken layouts, expired information or technical questions you never wanted to become an expert in.

What good management should do
A website is a business asset. It needs care, not neglect.
Many websites fail slowly. A phone number changes, a plugin gets outdated, a form stops working, a page becomes confusing, a security warning appears, or nobody knows who must fix what. Website management puts a proper care process behind the site so it can keep supporting enquiries, trust and day-to-day business activity.
Security-aware care
Updates, SSL checks and sensible monitoring help reduce avoidable risks. No provider can promise perfect security, but neglect should not be the plan.
Regular maintenance
Websites need routine attention so software, plugins, content and forms do not quietly fall behind.
Clear support path
Clients should know how to ask for help, what is included, what is urgent, and what may need a separate quote.
Ongoing usability checks
A managed website should stay readable and usable across real devices, not only look good on launch day.
Practical improvements
Small updates, wording changes and layout refinements can keep a website useful as the business changes.
Less technical stress
You can focus on your business while Silver Ivy Media handles the website care included in your package.

Service inclusions
What website management can include
The exact inclusions depend on your selected package or quote. Before work begins, we confirm what is included, what counts as support, what would be quoted separately, and what the client still needs to manage on their side.
Managed hosting support
Where included, your website is hosted and supported through the agreed Silver Ivy Media managed hosting setup.
SSL and basic security care
We help keep SSL and reasonable security measures in place according to the selected plan.
Platform and plugin updates
We manage routine updates where included, while being careful not to treat updates as a blind click-and-hope exercise.
Backups and restore support
Backups may be included as a safety measure, but clients should still keep independent copies of critical business information.
Content and page updates
Depending on the plan, we can help with small content changes, page edits, contact detail updates and website wording adjustments.
Form and contact checks
We can help check that important enquiry paths, contact buttons and forms are still working as expected.
Support requests
Clients can send support requests through the agreed channel so work is recorded and prioritised properly.
Quoted improvements
Larger redesigns, new features, integrations or major content work can be quoted separately before we proceed.
Our process
How we manage websites without creating confusion
Website management works best when support is clear, recorded and practical. We use a simple process so urgent issues, routine care, content changes and out-of-scope requests do not get mixed into one stressful mess.
Check the website
We look at the current website setup, hosting, platform, plugins, forms, content needs and support priorities.
Confirm the management scope
We confirm what your selected package includes, what is excluded, what requires approval and what may be quoted separately.
Set the support path
We agree how support requests should be sent so issues, updates and approvals are recorded clearly.
Maintain and monitor
We handle the routine care included in the package and keep an eye on issues that need attention.
Improve when needed
As your business changes, we can quote and implement improvements, new pages, content changes or extra features where needed.
Trust and clarity
Managed properly, with clear boundaries
Silver Ivy Media aims to be helpful without making vague promises. We use reasonable care, documented support, fair policies and plain-language expectations so clients understand what is included and what sits outside the plan.
No magic uptime promise
We use reasonable care and reputable systems, but no website, host, plugin or third-party provider can promise perfect uptime or zero incidents.
No unlimited work loophole
Website management is not unlimited redesign, unlimited copywriting or unlimited new features. Out-of-scope work is quoted before proceeding.
Client responsibilities still matter
Clients remain responsible for accurate content, lawful business claims, product details, pricing, policies, passwords and third-party accounts.
Ecommerce remains your shop
For online stores, the client remains responsible for products, orders, refunds, warranties, delivery, stock, customer service and business compliance.
Custom work is protected
Completed work, work already performed, approved work, hosting already used and third-party costs are not automatically refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Privacy-aware handling
We store client and project records securely and in line with POPIA. Clients should not send passwords, OTPs or banking access details through ordinary forms, email or WhatsApp.

Policies without the legal fog
Important client-friendly notes
Our Terms, Privacy / POPIA Notice, Refund & Cancellation Policy and PAIA Manual explain the detailed rules. This page gives a plain-language overview so clients know where to find the correct information before they choose a management package.
Questions clients usually ask
Website management questions, answered plainly
What is website management?
Website management is the ongoing care of a website after launch. It can include hosting support, updates, maintenance, security checks, backups, content changes, troubleshooting and practical support according to your selected plan.
Why does a website need management?
A website can become outdated, insecure, confusing or broken if nobody looks after it. Management helps keep the website usable, updated and supported so it continues to serve your business.
Is website management the same as web design?
No. Web design is the planning and creation of the website. Website management is the ongoing care after the website exists, although both services can work together.
What is included in website management?
Inclusions depend on the selected package. It may include managed hosting, SSL support, platform updates, maintenance, security monitoring, backups, support requests and selected content updates.
Does website management include unlimited changes?
No. Website management includes the work listed in your selected package. Large redesigns, new features, advanced copywriting, ecommerce changes, integrations and out-of-scope work may be quoted separately.
Can you guarantee my website will never be hacked or go down?
No provider can honestly guarantee that. We use reasonable care and security-aware practices according to the selected package, but hosting, plugins, third-party services, cyber incidents and client account security can all affect a website.
Do you update my website content?
Yes, where content updates are included in your plan or quoted separately. The client remains responsible for the accuracy and legality of supplied content, pricing, images, product details and policies.
What happens if my account is overdue?
Overdue accounts may affect support, updates, hosting, migration or file release according to the Terms. We aim to communicate clearly before taking action where practical.
Can I cancel website management?
Yes. Cancellation is handled according to the selected package, Terms and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Written notice helps both sides keep a clear record.
